Seems everybody submits reviews only when they have problems. I've been nothing but pleased so far with Packet8 for my home phone service. $25(taxes and fees included.) per month for unlimited long distance sure beats $75 per month charged by Verizon. I'll rate a couple of areas.

Call(line) quality - It's good. I won't kid you, it's not as good as a land line but theres nothing that is noticeable or that bothers me during conversation.

Customer Service - I had an issue when trying to activate. I was worried about how Packet8's customer service would respond. I was pleasantly surprised when I have a live human being on the line within one minute and had my problem solved within 5 minutes. No problems in customer service so far.

Cost - $19.95 per month for unlimited US long distance. I can't beat that.

The only negative I know is that during a power outage I have no phone service. But that would be the case with any VoIP solution. Great thing about Packet8 is that I can forward my calls to my mobile when there's an internet outage.

I have ordered their IP phone service one year ago. They asked my credit card for direct deduction for monthly payment. I asked them to keep my phone number. Packet8 told me that SBC service would be automatically disconnected when the number was ported. It took more than two months for them to transfered my phone number from SBC.

The voice quality of packet8 phone is very bad. So, I had to switch back to SBC at last Decemember. However, in March I found that my credit card still be billed. So, I contact Packet8. Packet8 told me that it was the customer's responsibility to explicitly notify them to stop the service. I did not understand how they can still bill the customer for phone service without phone number. I asked them to stop my phone service.
Today, I found they still billed me on my credit card for another four months after I called them. I contacted the customer service again. He told me that he can not found any record for my last call.
I can not believe that a company could lie to the customer like this.
Please think about clearly before you order them device and service. They are cheap.

I looked a while for a sub $100 compact scanner for my desk. (I already have a big expensive bulky flatbed I drag out of storage and use for slide and serious image scanning.) I wanted to use this to get all those everyday loose papers and receipts in electronic format and trash the paper and eliminate paper piles.
As described the unit is compact and powered by the USB cable so it has a minimal footprint on your desk and doesn't consume an outlet. Along with the provided software it has two hardware buttons you can preset for one touch scanning. I have one set to scan as OCRed PDFs and the other to scan jpg. You simply press the button and it scans according to the buttons presets. You can also manually scan and use software button presets. It pulls the items right on through at a good pace and they display in the supplied scan/document management tool. From there you can sort your scans as you desire.

I did have to cajole the driver a bit to install on Windows 7 - but I finally got it installed (So don't give up)
For under $100 I could not be more pleased with the performance and options.

I love these bibs. I just don't understand the people who say they are not water resistant. If you pour water on one side of this bib you can hold it in the bib like a cup. However, because it is terry on both sides, if the edge gets wet the moisture will eventually end up on both sides. If you want a bib that is all terry and not plastic on one side, then you have to deal with the wicking. If you don't want any wicking then you can buy the cheaper version that only has terry on one side, and the plastic side is against the baby. These are great though - soft on both sides, reversible, and very resistant to moisture. My baby is a drool machine and we use a couple every day. I got two packs. These are not supposed to go in the drier - if you dry them I believe some of the water resistant properties will be lost. These are by far my favorites.

Fit 7 month old son perfect. Truly waterproof, great for teething. He was soaking through the regular terry bibs and all over his clothes, these caught all the drool, and put a stop to that. They go great with all outfits (no more clashing or worrying how to match pattern with pattern!). I plan to get a second set in the other colors. They wash extremely well also, I use All Free & Clear and they come out stain free!

Best of all, they do just look nice and high quality and no crunchiness like the vinyl bibs.

I was in search of any bib that would keep my 5 month old baby's clothes dry. He is a reflux baby along with a HUGE drooler. I was going through 4-6 bibs a day to keep him dry. I bought these and I am soooooo pleased with them. I actually ordered another set. They are great at keeping his clothes dry. On bad days I have to change his bib twice, but most days I can just use one. I highly recommend them.

I bought this case for my new iPhone 4 and decided to return it. It is a nice weight and size and adds virtually no bulk to the phone. However on the right side of the phone (where the camera is), the case won't fit snugly. There is a small amount of space between the case and the phone and it seemed as if the phone wasn't held securely. I tried the case with two other iPhones and the same problem remained.

Overall, the product is decent but I feel as if it could have fit the phone more securely.

This product features a USB connector to a 110V AC plug. Last night I plugged in my unit, and could hear arc-ing from a distance. I inspected the plug and saw blue arc-ing through the translucent white plastic. If anyone has this unit, I would be careful. I won't be using mine any longer.

So I finally pulled this from the box and set it up for the K2 to sit in. It's great looking, it works, and I am happy. You simply can't beat it for price and appearance. It looks great on a desk, in screen-saver mode it's lovely, and with little effort one could get some books read while taking a break from desk work. I'm retired and wouldn't be cheating, simply delaying!

I too replaced my Stir Crazy with this Orville Redenbacher and having the same problems as mentioned by the others. The clear bowl is cracking. It cracked after the first couple of uses and every time I use it it cracks again.

I never use the butter melter, nor do I wash in the dishwasher.

The plastic being used to manufacture this product is not right.

I bought this from a big box store and paid $30 plus sales tax. After years of nibbling microwave popcorn (greasy and way too salty), I yearned for fresh corn with mild seasoning permeating the kitchen. I liked the idea of infusing butter into the mix without it getting saturated. The opening at the top of the unit implied that the butter would be evenly distributed as the corn popped.
I read the instructions carefully and the formula was easy. 2 tbs. oil, 2/3 cups popping corn, a couple of tbs. butter (or more) in the top of the unit(which converts to a bowl when the corn is fully popped). I was cautioned to replace the cap at the top of the bowl to keep the corn from getting soggy.
I took the unit apart. First surprise after removing the bowl/lid was a nasty layer of grease. Upon inspection, it was obvious that I was not the first owner. Back it went to the store, and I carried its replacement home. I plugged it in, added the oil, and when the oil seemed hot, added the popcorn, covered with the capped bowl/lid with 3 tbs. butter, and watched as the wavy bar at the base of the unit rotated across the teflon base to distribute the corn. It popped enthusiastically until the popping stopped. I flipped the lid into bowl mode after I unplugged the base unit and lightly salted the popcorn. Wow.....the absolutely worse popcorn ever. Dry, bland, unappetizing. The butter topping was not discernible. I used Orville Redenbacker corn and butter flavored popping oil ---- all recently purchased. I've played with this multiple times. If you up the oil required as well as the amount of butter and salt, it tastes better, but not in the stratosphere of great movie theater popcorn. It improved when I tossed in my secret weapons.......chocolate covered peanuts or Raisinets. Still I'd be better off stopping at the local Karmelcorn Shop or Target for good popcorn.
In all fairness to this device since I may not be an inspired popcornista, it does a good job of popping the corn. The bar keeps things moving and this results in an absence of old maids and the corn doesn't burn if you unplug as soon as the popping stops. It is easy to clean the base. A simple wipe with a damp song or paper towel removes debris. A dry paper towel dries it. The bowl and cap require a thorough washing and drying with Dawn.
My husband has used this popper with pretty much the same results and agrees that this item isn't all that great, but it is easy to clean and maintain. I'm going to keep at it and see if I can improvise a better popcorn recipe.

this unit is good for times when you want a lot of popcorn. i am single and it is too time consuming for me its much slower and harder to use than the hot air types but that was my error when used properly it is a very good product but time consuming
